Hello there!
I just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know we're still kicking. In fact, we've been visiting with my folks the last few weeks and are still recovering. We had an amazing time; saw wonderful sights; met great people; and even had a visit with a dear friend from home! Mum and Bob flew home on Tuesday, but it's taking a while to get my brain back. So, this morning, I started uploading the photos. It's going to take a while.
- Number of days: 15
- Number of miles driven: 2,000
- Number of photos taken: 3,000 (no, not all by me - only 1,200 are mine - most of the others are Mum's)
- Number of wonderful memories: Billions
In other news, the vitamin supplements seem to be helping. I'm less brain-dead, thank goodness. However, I've been eating wheat whole-heartedly, as my next blood work will include a test for coeliac disease. You can't get an accurate test if you aren't eating gluten. My tastebuds love it. The rest of me isn't quite so happy. More pain from the arthritis (wheat is one of my triggers, which is why I stopped eating it in the first place) and my gut is all riled up. However, Enbrel will FINALLY arrive today (!!!!!) and that will help a great deal. At least, with my pain levels anyway.
Oh, and this coming Tuesday will mark one month since my last cigarette. There have been some truly bad moments, but I've made it through them so far. Keep your fingers crossed, my friends. I want this to be for good. The addiction doesn't, but I do. LOL
Love and hugs. More soon.
